Today was the funniest intro into construction you ever did see. Not only did I learn so much in a short amount of time, but I got to do it with friends who were always ensuring I didn’t fall (literally).
Today, we began applying new plywood to the roof and preparing the bottom of the house for the new skirt we’ll be building in the days to come. I hope we finish the roof by the end of the week because we’ve put a lot into it and are quickly making progress.
Wesley is practically an expert intern, and I’m not just saying that because he’s one of our own. He’s optimistic that we’ll finish, and I’m optimistic because I like being happy! Nobody fell through the roof today, and I will take that as a good omen. I’m sure the rest of the week will go seamlessly.
