Student Mission Trip - San Antonio - Day 3
Day three, HUMP DAY!
We started the day by jamming some early 2000 hits. Our job took a little turn and we ran into more snags in the project. But in no time we were up and running again! We finished de-shingling our section of the roof and laying down the tar paper. Even through it was hot, our team still worked as hard as ever!
Mr. Garcia joined us for lunch. We shared about our favorite food and gave each other nicknames. Mr. Garcia is now Wrecking Ball because he worked in a steal factory and loves the Spurs. He also joined us for Noonday Prayer.
After chapel we made Mr. Garcia a scrapbook to give him for our last day tomorrow. We are sad that tomorrow is our last workday, but the students are asking to stay another week!
Everliving God, whose will it is that all should come to you through your Son Jesus Christ: Inspire our witness to him, that all may know the power of his forgiveness and the hope of his resurrection; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
Join us in praying this week for their work in underserved communities, protection as they travel and work construction, and open their hearts to new relationships as they serve the people of San Antonio.
